A quick stop for lunch

The distance between destinations can be a bit long. The nice thing is that every 100 miles or so there will be a rest stop like the one in the picture. There is a bit of shade, a bench and a loo.
With the strong winds we have experienced we can stop at such places and not be plagued with flies. So out came the stove, the kettle and cool box to prepare a flask of tea and a couple of vegan burgers with sweet chilli sauce and hummous. We have only been driving about four hours from Kalbari to Shark Bay but we were famished

The road makes you hungry and thirsty as well as a bit crossed eyed with the number of miles we clock up between stops. Kalbari was first after Northampton and then Shark Bay and tonight Canarvon. Tomorrow Coral Bay after visiting the local space technology museum.
